This disk drive modification is for those people who are tired of not being able to right to side B of all there disk with out having to notch the disk. This drive modification will enable you to toggle between normal operating System to a read only or read right system. The read right system ignores the disk notch altogether. J11 and CONNECTOR 11 To make these two part's haft to be made. All you need to do is to cut a wire rap socket in half. There you have your two connector made. Too install you drive modification you must disassemble your drive. You do this by first putting a blank disk in your drive. Then turn your drive over and remove the six Philips screws that hold the two parts of the drive enclosure together. You need to lift from the back and forward to separate the two halves of the cover's. At this time you need to mount the two switches somewhere on the top cover. Then look towards the back of the drive and to the left and you will see a row of connectors. Take a felt tip marker and draw a line on one side of the connectors. And know look for J11. Remove connector J11 by using your long nose pliers and pulling on the connector body not the wires. Replace J11 with the j11 of the disk drive modification. And then plug in J11 into connector 11 of the drive modification. You are finished know. Troubles you may encounter The only thing that could be wrong is a connector may be reversed or you may have made a mistake in soldering the switches together. Also the tricolor led can be solder with no regards to polarity
