1050 DISK DRIVE MODIFICATION
This disk drive modification is for those people who are tired of not being
able to right to side B of all there disk with out having to notch the disk.
This drive modification will enable you to toggle between normal operating
System to a read only or read right system. The read right system ignores the
disk notch altogether. The read system will not right to any disk weather it
is notch or not. And the normal operating system work like an unmodified
drive.
I assume no responsibility for this disk drive modification. However I would
make sure my drive was out of warranty before making any kind of modification
to it. I would also read the text of the modification before starting. If you
have any question about this modification please leave E-mail.

do is to cut a wire rap socket in half. There you have your two connector

do this by first putting a blank disk in your drive. Then turn your drive over
and remove the six Philips screws that hold the two parts of the drive
enclosure together. You need to lift from the back and forward to separate the
two halves of the cover's. At this time you need to mount the two switches
somewhere on the top cover. Then look towards the back of the drive and to the
left and you will see a row of connectors. Take a felt tip marker and draw a
line on one side of the connectors. And know look for J11. Remove connector
J11 by using your long nose pliers and pulling on the connector body not the
wires. Replace J11 with the j11 of the disk drive modification. And then plug
in J11 into connector 11 of the drive modification. You are finished know.
